Is this the side rear door or the tailgate?

This is the side rear-door product in the TDI range, with separate LH and RH options. A tailgate closes the rear of the load area and is a different component. Select against the rear passenger door opening being repaired.

Does selecting LH or RH order both doors?

The choices identify separate rear-door configurations. Select LH for the left side or RH for the right side, viewed facing forward. One selected option does not select the opposite door.

Should I paint the replacement before checking the door fit?

Check the door alignment and the hinge, latch and window interfaces before final painting. This lets the body shop resolve alignment and preparation work while the door is still being fitted.
